Marine debris is more than ugly. It has the potential to be lethal to sea creatures, can act as transport for alien invasive species, can foul your rudder or propellers, wastes valuable materials and is making its way into the human food chain. Don’t let litter go overboard and don’t lighten your load by throwing unwanted gear and trash into the ocean. Your boat hook can be the ocean’s best friend.
If you see marine debris while on the water hook it, bring it onboard and dispose of it properly. Every piece of trash you pick up or item you recycle makes a difference to our ocean and our planet.
